Our horses are not just our job, they are our passion and our lifestyle. We take pride in our horses and work hard to ensure they receive the best of the best. Many of our Westbound horses have been with us for an extended amount of time. Our horses get real life experience out on the ranch, in the roping pen and at a range of events. We believe in a versatile horse and like a horse that can do multiple jobs. You will find that many of our horses excel in multiple areas. Many of our cutters are also great ranch horses and many of our ranch horses are also great in the roping pen.

DD Pepto Caster “Dee”

2024 AQHA Filly

Dee is halter broke and she is exceptionally well mannered and easy to handle. She is gentle by nature and learns so quickly. She ties quietly and trailers well, even backs off like one should. She will be a good one with the kind of mind you’ll want to ride. She is bred to be versatile and will excel anywhere from the roping pen to the show pen. She is sound and blemish free. I have never had a baby as pleasant to handle and teach as this filly. Her mind is impressive and her color, build and pedigree are just a plus! Sharlena Shining Gun “Tango”

2019 AQHA Mare ~ 14.3 hands

A true unicorn in any arena, “Tango”, is a highly trained and gentle mare. From the roping arena to the ranch and from the trails to ranch trail classes she is a superstar. She is gentle in every scenario and always there to please with a great work ethic. Though she is well accomplished in many things and currently works for a living here with us her demeanor does not require having a full time job. She will give you her heart every day or is happy to hang out during the week and be there for you on the weekends. Tango is finished and seasoned both on the ranch and as a rope horse. We use her regularly on the ranch for all aspects of ranch work. There isn’t a task you won’t be well mounted for. She will hold a rope tight, is great to sort on, will track in to rope one and pulls good. We also haul her to ropings on a regular basis. We tend to heel on her more simply because that is our preference, but she is a solid switchender that goes either way. She is quiet in the box and does not have any holes in the field. Her exposure to everything from the ranch to the rodeo arena has created her to be an extremely reliable and solid citizen that anyone can ride and get along with. She is safe for all ability levels. John Wayne

12.3 hands ~ 4 years old

John Wayne is as cute and as handmade as they come. He is made to a T with ideal balance, bone and mass. Standing at 12.3 hands, as stout as he is made, he is the ideal size for youth or small adult. John Wayne has been used at the cow sale, used on the ranch as well as gaining knowledge and fine tuning in the arena. He lopes great circles both directions, turns around really well and is stopping nicely. He is finding his groove, collecting well and coming along really well. He has never offered to buck under any circumstance. The opportunities are endless with this cover page worthy young gelding. Spend a little bit more time seasoning him and have the ideal large pony for your kids or make the coolest roping, reining or jumping pony you’ve ever seen out of him!
