Consignment Horses

When each of our consignment horses are brought in they are evaluated and treated as one of our own. Upon consignment each horse undergoes a thorough evaluation process for at least 30 days prior to being listed for sale that allows us to adequately get to know them and represent them accordingly. These horses are used, hauled and represented no differently than one of our own.

2018 AQHA Gelding ~ 16 Hands

I fondly refer to Goose as a unicorn, but that’s only because he is. It is my personal opinion that a horse with a personality as genuine as his truly is a unicorn. He is the same horse every time he’s ridden no matter how long it’s been since he was last been ridden or what it is you’re working on that day. He stays broke, gentle and honest. At 7 yrs old he has the demeanor of a double digit gelding that’s been there and bought the T-shirt.
Goose is a patterned barrel horse that’s been hauled and seasoned. However, he does not have to be a barrel horse and is so much more than just a barrel horse. He is quiet natured, quiet to ride and is so pleasurable that he will spoil you. Goose is also a perfect trail partner, has been started on the head side steer stopping and turning slow live steers, AND he has rodeo queen horse written all over him!
Let’s dive deeper…
As a barrel horse Goose is a solid 3-4D gelding currently with room to push more if someone should wish to. His slow work is phenomenal. He is so smooth to work the pattern on and to just ride in general. His ideal jockey as a barrel horse is someone who wants to haul a quiet gelding that is safe, smooth and consistent to run, but isn’t going to hit the top of the 1D. He is also youth suitable and would be a great step up for a youth jockey in the barrels. My 7 yr old daughter has ridden him a good bit and he takes very good care of her and stays honest with her.
I have trail ridden Goose quite a bit. Usually I ride out alone, but every so often with another horse also. He has never offered to display any form of sour behavior leaving the trailer or the barn or when heading back. I’ve crossed water on him and have ridden in multiple settings on the ranch and trail. He is not spooky, sour or over reactive in any circumstance.
All the other goodies….
Goose is started on live cattle on the head side and could easily go on to make a head horse, however, this has not been our main focus with him. He will carry a flag and is not concerned with tarps or banners. We feel he has all the necessary ingredients to excel as a rodeo queen horse for both pageant and running flags at rodeos should someone be looking for something along those lines. He is really broke and well trained with an impressive handle. He is extremely soft in the mouth and in his rib cage. He has lots of body control and collects up allowing you to put him anywhere he needs to be. He is a big gelding that carries and handles himself incredibly well. His confirmation and build are balanced and contribute to his smooth movement.
His manners are impeccable. He stands perfectly still to be mounted either mounting from the ground or from a block. He lowers his head to be bridled. Bathes, ties, trailers etc. all flawlessly. He is currently pasture kept and is easy to catch and keep. He requires no special maintenance or care out of the norm.
Goose will instantly steal your heart. We have no doubt this kind and special gelding will please anywhere he goes. Please feel free to call or text with any questions I would love to talk him over with you! 619-655-2272. I can help arrange hauling anywhere within the U.S.
